Fitness Race Event
DESCRIPTION
Unite Fitness Decathlon [UFD] is like no other fitness race event, where completion is the trophy and all are winners. Participants step through 10 fitness challenges and continue on for a 10K trail run (6.2 miles). This unique combination of fitness elements is an incredible workout and one hell of an accomplishment, proving you are truly fit in all meanings of the word. A limited number of participants will race in waves of 20, starting every 15 minutes. The fitness challenges are exercises for high repetitions or distances that test various muscle groups, cardio conditioning and athleticism. Equipment include dumbbells, suspension trainers, ropes, sandbags, and just your own body weight. The trail run is 6.2 miles of multi-terrain, hilly trails and maybe some water.

PURPOSE & PHILOSOPHY
“UFD is the next generation of fitness racing”
Why do we race and train in just one dimension of fitness, one athletic skillset, one repetitive motion? This isn’t very healthy, impressive or interesting when you stop and look at it. So the coaches of Unite Fitness set out to design a better, more complete and compelling fitness race event, versus just a foot race or mud run. An event that not only tests endurance, but also stability, strength, power and overall athleticism. And most importantly an event that inspires and connects a community of people to train together in a healthier way.
The Unite Fitness Decathlon was designed to be a true test of complete fitness, nutrition and mindset guided by Unite Fitness’s balanced Heart.Muscle.Mind philosophy. The exercises, reps and distances for the 10 Fitness Challenges and 10k Run were chosen specifically to push all of your major muscle groups to their limit. The fitness challenges also reflect the type of cardio intervals, functional movements and simple equipment used in both our 3 Month Virtual Boot Camp and our Fitness Studios, which are the perfect way to train for this unique event.
PARTICIPANTS & TEAMS
You should definitely register if you either need some real motivation to get into the best shape of your life or you have already been training in cardio and strength and want to truly test your limits and find the holes in your fitness.
You can enter as an individual or as a team of three or more participants. Unite Fitness is all about teams and community building as a away to support individual accomplishments and in this case fundraising as well, so teams are highly encouraged. The experience of training and running, as well as, the event day logistics and celebration are so much better with a team of people. Make shirts, wear makeup, get into it and let people know who you are and where you train. Teams are without a limit as to how many per team, just not less then three. Teams will be placed in the same starting wave as much as possible.

ENTRY FEE SCHEDULE
The more entrants we get the lower we can make the prices each year so help us promote and we will keep lowering the prices as much as possible. Unite Fitness is not putting this event on to make loads of money I assure you. This is about pushing races forward to be more balanced, healthy and give our community of life minded people a special challenge to rally towards. Putting on an event of this caliber does take a lot of capital investment, especially if we all want it to grow and expand to new areas, so these are the fees for this year.
